The Heart of Lincoln Medical Group is joining many other practices around the UK to become a more paperless practice, we are going to be setting up an ‘Electronic Prescription Service‘ EPS for all our patients in an attempt to save the NHS millions of pounds each year.
This new format would mean that you would no longer get a print out prescription and that your medication will go directly to a pharmacy that you nominate, this will enable to save time by no longer needing to visit your doctors practice to collect the print-out and then need to go to the pharmacy to collect the medication.

We have a computerised repeat prescription service. Repeat prescriptions are normally for patients with long-term conditions who receive regular treatment. Your doctor will decide who can have a repeat prescription.
From time to time we will ask you to see your doctor to review your medication. We do this to monitor your illness and medication.
You can request your medication 7 days before it is due.
You can order a repeat prescription:
-
via NHS App - download the NHS App on your smartphone or tablet via the Google play or App store.
-
via SystmOnline - you will need to ensure you have registered for this. See the box on right hand side for further information.
-
by dropping your prescription slip into the Practice when Reception is open, there is also an external post box when the Practice is closed.
-
by visiting the Practice and completing a prescription request form.
Prescription requests take 72 hours (not including weekends and bank holidays) to be processed by the Practice then approximately 48 hours to be ready at the Pharmacy. Therefore please allow 5 working days before attempting to collect your prescription from the Pharmacy.
