Patient participation exists to help health professionals receive patient feedback to influence the way treatment of patients is carried out.

Watch the short video below to see some reasons why you should become a member of your GP practice Patient Participation Group!

What is the Patient Participation Group?

The Patient Participation Group, or ‘PPG’, is a group of patients who volunteer to be the ‘listening voice of the patient’.   They work alongside the practice to support, offer advice and ensure the patient’s voice is heard.

The group allows patients to provide feedback directly to the practice, leading to constructive discussions and improvements to services. The group’s opinions are listened to, as the people who use the services are the best people to tell us what works and what improvements we could make.

Any patient or registered carer of a patient may apply to join the PPG.  Members are asked to sign a Confidentiality Statement.  If you would like to join the PPG, please fill out the registration form on this page and submit it to us.
