PMP Statement Monday July 19th 2021
The government are today lifting restrictions on most of the CoVid protection rules in place across England.
As a surgery we will continue to wear face masks and respectfully request all patients to continue doing so. Please do not enter the building without a face mask.
The risk of Covid remains high and numbers are currently still increasing. This places staff and patients at risk of CoVid infection within the surgery premises.
Your health records contain a type of data called confidential patient information. This data can be used to help with research and planning. You can choose to stop your confidential patient information being used for research and planning. You can also make a choice for someone else like your children under the age of 13. NHS Digital will never sell your data. There are strict rules about how NHS can use your data. It's only shared securely and safely. Shared data helps the NHS. It has been used to find the first treatment for coronavirus and for vaccine research.
If you're happy with your confidential patient information being used for research and planning you do not need to do anything.
Any choice you make will not impact your individual care. Please click on the link to find out more and opt out if you wish to do so.
If you suspect you have symptoms of Corona virus, DO NOT attend the surgery.
For advice about possible symptoms use ‘111 online’ www.111.nhs.uk/service/covid-19 or call 111
To reduce the possibility of closure and protect both patients and staff we have initiated the following procedures with regard to attending the Practice:
You will not be permitted entry into the building without wearing a mask or face covering (such as a scarf)
ALL appointments are currently being booked over the phone
You will be asked questions to assess the risk of infection
You may be offered a telephone consultation
The clinician will offer a face to face appointment if required.
If you have arranged an appointment at the Practice and you are experiencing flu like symptoms please call the Practice on 01522 876800 to re-arrange your appointment.
If your appointment is urgent please call the Practice to discuss your condition prior to attending.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may course and would like to thank you for your co-operation at this difficult time.
Access to NHS Dentistry is currently limited during the pandemic as dentists have been asked to stop all routine “face-to-face” dental care.
However, if you need urgent dental care, help is at hand:
If you don’t have a dentist, find your nearest dentist and CALL them. You can search for your nearest dentist at: https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/find-a-dentist
You can also contact NHS 111:
You can ask for a translator if you need one.
NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
If you’re deaf, you can:
use the NHS 111 British Sign Language service: co.uk/nhs111
call 18001 111 on a textphone
Do not worry if you have COVID-19 symptoms, appropriate arrangements can be made
